Civics in Summer was a civic engagement workshop that educated both young and elderly people about the importance of using their voices to evoke change. During this workshop, we conducted an intergenerational discussion about prevalent societal issues, such as immigration and gang violence, and posed solutions, which are community outreach, contacting representatives, and voting.
